Artists wanted for FET projects

Artists are wanted for collaboration with ongoing Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) projects.

The Horizon 2020-funded Future Emerging Art and Technology (FEAT) project envisages an innovative ‘cultural exchange’ by placing artists within different FET projects. Expected outcomes include the production of new artworks, major exhibitions, media campaigns, and socially engaged events, including festivals, debates and participatory workshops.

Between May 2016 and January 2017, five international artists will have the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into cutting-edge science by spending time with FET researchers on site. In addition to exciting collaborations between Arts and sciences, the project aims to reach out to new audiences for FET research.

Artists’ residencies will be fully funded and last for up to nine months.

All artists with a keen interest in science and/or new technologies, e.g. biotechnology, computing, Big Data, robotics, nanotechnology, renewable fuels, or neuroscience, are invited to submit an application.

Artists should also have a proven record of working across technological disciplines, and be able and willing to reside in Europe in the proximity of the specific FET project research premises for appropriate periods during the residency.

Applications close on 31 January 2016. To apply, visit the FEAT website.
