Funding released for Marie Curie R&I call

The European Commission has begun receiving proposals for a €80m research training call.

The EU institution has opened the 2015 call for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) programme. The call aims to encourage multinational co-operation between staff working across different R&I sectors. The training scheme is also helping to encourage the greater sharing of knowledge and ideas between the development of research and bringing new products and services to market, thus helping to further advance science and innovation. Networking and the organisation of workshops and conferences is encouraged to help realise these objectives, as well as improve a participant’s career and develop new skills.

RISE is one of four main schemes under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA); other programmes are research networks and individual fellowships, as well as co-funding of regional, national and international training schemes. Collectively, the MSCAs have a budget of €745m during Horizon 2020’s 2015 Work Programme.

The deadline for the RISE call is 5pm on 28 April 2015 and more information can be found here.
