ITRE green lights EU-US scientific agreement extension

The European Parliament has consented to the extension of the scientific and technological co-operation agreement between the EU and the United States.

The Industry, Research and Energy Committee has instructed European Parliament President Martin Schulz to forward its position to the Council of the European Union, the European Commission and the governments and parliaments of EU member states, as well as to Washington, DC.

The rapporteur responsible for the recommendation is Italian MEP, Amalia Sartori.
