EUREKA Cluster’s ITEA 2 FPP call closed

The Full Project Proposals (FPP) submission of EUREKA Cluster’s ITEA 2 call 8 has closed. The results show a strong interest in ITEA2 – the follow-up to the successful ITEA programme – with 21 FPPs submitted, out of 23 outlined projects invited.

The projects selected represent a total of 3,866 person years involved in research and innovation. This is the second largest call of ITEA2 in terms of person year in the history of the Cluster; only ITEA2’s call 4 in 2009 was larger, with 4,500 person years involved in the projects submitted in the FPP phase.

ITEA2 is open to partners from large industrial companies and SMEs, research institutes and universities, as well as business and non-profit organisations. Partners participating in ITEA 2-labelled projects can be supported by their national public authorities with state funding.

ITEA2 (Information Technology for European Advancement) stimulates and supports innovative and pre-competitive R&D projects that will contribute to developing a research excellence base in Europe’s competitive Software-Intensive Systems and Services sector. The final labelling decisions will be made by the ITEA2 Board on December 3, 2013.

Pan European Networks, the publishers of Horizon2020projects.com, is the official media partner for the ‘ARTMEIS-ITEA2 Co-summit 2013‘, which takes place in Stockholm, Sweden next month. Both Horizon2020projects.com and Pan European Networks will be featuring significant coverage of this major conference.
