Conference on recently adopted clinical trials regulation

An international conference on clinical trials is to be held in Paris, France, on 16 May. It will focus on boosting competitiveness in Europe while complying with the EU 2014 clinical trial and data protection regulations.

Present at the event will be Pascal Bilbault, clinical research director of Boehringer Ingelheim France, Cathy Scoupe, head of operations, Keyrus Biopharma, and Elisabeth Frija Orvoën, member and former president of Cpp Ile-De-France.

Pharmaceutical companies and academic researchers will have to post the results of all their European clinical trials in a publicly-accessible database, under a draft law already informally agreed with EU ministers and passed by Parliament.

The conference will cover how to ensure the highest quality at the best price and how companies can combine compliance and profitability of clinical trials.

Highlights of the conference include business impacts of the new EU Clinical Trials Regulation, latest technology developments to leverage data, and prospects on patient recruitment in Europe.
