Tekes offers Finnish firms financial incentives for H2020

Tekes has announced new funding opportunities for Finnish companies during the project proposal phase of Horizon 2020.

The Finnish funding agency for innovation is providing financial support for companies and research organisations making applications to the research and innovation framework programme. There are three opportunities for support – the first is to assist with the writing of a Horizon 2020 project proposal, in particular large projects which will have a particular benefit to Finland, or where the national researchers are heavily involved or co-ordinate the project.

Another avenue to receive the new funding is for organisations undertaking normal Tekes research projects and are wishing to expand the international scope of their projects and reap the benefits that the EU research and innovation framework has to offer. Horizon 2020 project preparation activities must be noted in the Tekes-funded project proposal. Finally, money can also be obtained by cluster organisations that wishto promote their activities and also encourage the participation of Finnish companies in Horizon 2020, or to encourage national companies to play a role in the forthcoming calls from the KIC.

More information on the new funding can be found here.
