ERC awards £500,000 economics grant

An academic at the UK’s London Business School has been awarded a major grant from the European Research Council to help fund an economics study.

The investigation will focus on the ways to measure systemic financial risks, the links between financial risks and the real economy, and the effect on welfare.

Emre Ozdeoren, who is professor of economics and a fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research, received the grant worth £553,293 (~€703,000) as part of a three-year study led by Kathy Yuan at the London School of Economics.
